Place an OrderResearch Prospect (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides academic support services, and customers are offered an option to request a refund under the terms outlined below. Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method.
A handling and service fee between 10%–20% may apply to refunds, depending on the circumstances and the work already completed. The exact percentage is determined case-by-case by our Customer Experience team. This fee does not apply in cases where a full refund is guaranteed (outlined below).
No refund is available once an order has been approved by you. Approval indicates full acceptance of the delivered work.
You may apply for the following refund types before approving the delivered paper.
1. Full refund (no handling fee) is available ONLY in the following cases:
- Duplicate or erroneous payments (e.g., accidental double payment). You must notify us immediately. If no writer has been assigned, a full refund will be issued.
- No suitable writer is available for your order. In such cases, we will notify you and initiate a full refund without any fee.
- We miss the original order deadline and no part of the work has been delivered. In this situation, you will not receive the paper or retain any rights to previously delivered materials.
Note: Missed revision deadlines do not qualify for a refund.
2. 50% refund (minus a 10–20% handling fee) if:
- You cancel your order after a writer has been assigned, and less than one-third (33%) of the deadline has passed. Since work has begun, the writer must be partially compensated.
3. 25% refund (minus a 10–20% handling fee) if:
- You cancel your order after a writer has been assigned, and between one-third (33%) and one-half (50%) of the deadline has passed. Substantial work is likely completed by this stage.
- We are unable to locate a suitable expert to complete a requested revision.
If a refund is issued (full or partial), all intellectual property rights and usage rights are immediately revoked. You are prohibited from using, submitting, or reproducing any part of the delivered content.
Requesting a revision indicates acceptance of the order’s general quality. Therefore, refunds are not available after any revision request.
Plagiarism Policy: Up to a 6% similarity margin is acceptable (excluding references and template text). Refunds for plagiarism are only possible when an official Turnitin report is provided and our Quality Assurance team verifies similarity above 6%.
Grade-related complaints: Refunds are not granted based on grades, academic outcomes, or performance. A partial refund may be considered only if clear evidence shows the writer failed to follow your original instructions.
Exam, MCQ, and Problem-Solving Orders: Viewing or using provided answers counts as approval. If accuracy is below 50%, you may be eligible for partial credit up to 30%, determined case-by-case by a Customer Experience Manager.
The refund option is not applicable to:
- Money added to your Store Credit Balance;
- Orders where the Quality Assurance Team confirms instructions were followed;
- Cases where customer instructions violated the Terms of Use;
- Optional add-ons such as Premium Support, Plagiarism Report, Sources Used, and Table of Contents;
- Orders that you have already approved;
- Multiple-choice, exam notes, and problem-solving assignments (except where partial credit applies as defined above).
Cooling-Off Period
Under UK consumer law, you may cancel any order within the fourteen (14) day Cooling-Off Refund Period starting the day after the order is accepted.
If you cancel during this period and work has not begun, you will receive a full refund with no fee.
If work has already begun before your cancellation request, you must pay for the portion completed. Any remaining amount will be refunded minus a 10–20% service fee.
To exercise your cooling-off rights, you must contact us before the period expires. Refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) days using the original payment method unless another method is mutually agreed upon.
